Membership Criteria

To ensure a cohesive and engaged community, members of Indus Divas are required to meet the following criteria:

1. Passion for Sarees
Members must have a genuine interest in sarees, including their history, cultural significance, or styling. Whether you’re a Saree enthusiast, collector, designer, or simply someone who enjoys wearing sarees, your love for this traditional attire should be at the core of your involvement.

2. Respect for Tradition and Diversity.
Our community celebrates various Saree traditions from across regions and cultures. Members should respect the diversity of Saree types, draping styles, and the cultural contexts in which they are worn.

3. Active Participation
Members should be willing to engage actively in the group’s activities, events, and discussions. Whether attending workshops, sharing personal Saree stories, or participating in community events, involvement is key to fostering a vibrant and dynamic group.

4. Positive and Supportive Attitude
Members are expected to maintain a positive, encouraging, and respectful demeanor in all interactions. The group is a space for sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and celebrating the beauty of sarees, free from negativity or criticism.

5. Commitment to Community Growth
Members should be committed to contributing to the growth of the community, whether by inviting new Saree lovers to join, sharing insights, or volunteering for events.

Membership to the group is via referrals only and after thorough screening and verifications the new members will be added to our groups across Social Media Channels.

6.Adherence to Group Rules
Members must agree to follow the established group rules, including respecting others, staying on-topic, and avoiding self-promotion unless allowed by the group admins.

7. Interest in Learning and Sharing
We encourage members to have a spirit of curiosity and a willingness to learn. Whether you’re new to wearing sarees or a seasoned pro, openness to learning new techniques and sharing your experiences is essential.

8. Non-Commercial Focus
While we welcome those who work in Saree-related fields, such as designers or boutique owners, membership should be focused on community engagement rather than commercial promotion. Any business activities must adhere to the group’s guidelines on promotions.

New Platform for Members:

We are in the process of creating a professional platform that strengthens our digital presence and enhances group branding. This is a work in progress, and here’s what’s in store:

Website Launch: Each member will have a dedicated personal page on our website, where you can share your story with photos, social media links, and professional website links if applicable.

Profile Customization: Members can showcase their personal or professional profiles, enhancing their digital presence within our community.

Annual Fee: To support website development and maintenance, a nominal annual fee of  INR 1200/- (One thousand two hundred) will be required. This covers website hosting and domain name renewal.

Meetups and Event Costs: Event and meet-up costs will either be shared equally among participants or we can go Dutch.

Additional Blogging Opportunities:

Members with expertise in the textile industry can contribute blog posts, sharing their knowledge and insights with the group.
